What is the scariest ride at
Disney World in Orlando, Florida? As I get older, I become less of a fan of scary rides at theme parks. Don't get me wrong, I like a good spooky ride, but I'm talking about rides that will jerk you all over the place and make you feel like you are going to die!
The Tower of Terror ride in MGM is one of the scariest! The attraction is themed to resemble the fictional Hollywood Tower Hotel. The story of the hotel, adapted from elements of the television series, includes the hotel being struck by lightning on October 31, 1939, mysteriously transporting an elevator car full of passengers to the Twilight Zone. The exterior of the attraction resembles an old hotel with a blackened scorch mark across the front of the facade where the lightning destroyed part of the building. All of the cast members wear a costume that resembles that of a 1930s bellhop. At over one thousand dollars (US) per uniform, it is the most expensive costume in the various theme parks. This Disney ride just scares the heck out of me!
Another scary ride at
Disney World is the Test Track in Epcot. Buckle up and take the ride of your life over bumpy terrain, through hair-pin turns, into freezing cold chambers, and on 50-degree banked curves at 60 mph. It's all the hair-raising challenges of an automotive proving ground and this time, you're the test driver. Guests should be in good health and free from motion sickness, back or neck problems, heart problems, and other conditions that could be aggravated by this adventure. Expectant mothers should not ride. This attraction is transfer accessible. Personal translation units are available at Guest Relations in French, German, Japanese, Portuguese, and Spanish, to translate the audio narration at this attraction.
There are also the scary roller coasters at Disney. I am most afraid of the new Expedition Everest in the Animal Kingdom. A man died on this Disney ride in 2007. "A 44-year-old male guest riding Expedition Everest at Disney's Animal Kingdom was not responsive when his ride vehicle reached the unloading area. Jeffrey Reed of Navarre was given CPR and officials said there were no reported signs of trauma. Investigators said Reed appeared to be conscious about 50 seconds before the end of the ride because his photograph was taken as the coaster neared the area where it is cleared of guests."
All of these scare me, but I think the scariest ride at Disney is the Tower of Terror. I will never ride it again. lol
