| Should you tour timeshares for free Disney tickets? If you've been to any Disney theme park, or any other major tourist destination for that matter, you're aware of the signs offering free Disney tickets, dinner show tickets, or free cash. If you haven't taken one of these tours, let me fill you in on what happens. The wife and I decided to try one of these timeshare tours for free Disney World tickets about 6 years ago. The man at the tourist information booth explained that all we had to do was listen to a short presentation that would last no more than 2 hours, and they would give us the free Disney tickets. We figured that two hours of our lives were well worth the freebies, so we booked the timeshare tour. When we got to the timeshare, it really was a beautiful place. We checked in, were brought to a meeting room, and were shortly greeted by a salesman. Long story short, we spent the next two hours being told over and over that we needed to invest in the Orlando timeshare. He used all kinds of fancy charts to show how much money we would share in the long run. He kept telling me that a good father wouldn't make his family stay in a cheap Disney hotel. He said that a father that cared would want what was best for his family, and that the timeshare is the only way to go. He showed me that we could finance the vacation property, and that it would only cost us a few dollars every month. As time wore on, our kids got more and more restless. As the salesman kept saying the same things over and over, I was getting impatient. He realized that I wasn't buying his sales pitch to buy a timeshare, so he suddenly changed tones. He went from being fairly pleasant, to berating me. It got ugly very quickly. I told him that I wasn't spending a penny, and that I just wanted my free Disney World tickets. Well, that really ticked the salesman off. He went nuts!! When the two hours were finally over, they eventually gave us the free theme park tickets. All three of our kids were crying, my wife was sad, and I was very upset. It was a nightmare! Was it worth it? Would I ever listen to a timeshare pitch again for free Disney tickets or free dinner show tickets in Orlando? NO!!!!! Maybe you're different. Maybe you can handle a two hour long sales pitch. Maybe you can deal with a salesman that puts you down for not wanting to buy a vacation property. Well, that's not us. I will never ask for free Disney tickets again!!!

| I agree..we tried this and I hated it! They pressure you soooo much but you do get great deals! It all depends on the family I suppose. If you dont want to buy the timeshare then you just have to be persistent and say NO! |
