There are some great locations for a family vacation in this world. While we can't talk about all of these family holiday spots, let's go over a few of the
travel destinations that the whole family will love.
One of our favorite family vacation destinations is the Six Flags at Houston theme park (aka Six Flags Astroworld). Our favorite ride at Astroworld is Batman: The Escape. Relocated from Six Flags Great Adventure and also Magic Mountain, this former "Shockwave" coaster at one time did have the best themeing in the entire park, however, recently, the queue area is being spruced back up. In 1998 they closed the "Batcave" portion of the queue for safety concerns, originally the mountain from the "Alpine Sleigh Ride". It's extremely (read: nearly 100%) unlikely that the Batcave portion of the queue will ever re-open.
Another great family holiday spot is Dolly Wood in the Smoky mountains. Our favorite ride at Dollywood is the Blazing Fury. An out-of-control fire is just minutes away from engulfing this 1880s town. If you choose to ride, you're instantly recruited to battle this mighty blaze. Help calm the chaos as you climb aboard this indoor roller coaster that screams through town taking each hill and every curve with great speed. Soon, it's apparent that the only way to douse the flames is water--and plenty of it!
Of course it is hard to beat a Disney cruise for a family getaway vacation. Disney Family Cruises are known for excellent kids' programs and entertainment with pizzazz; and docking at private island Castaway Cay isn't too shabby either. Every week, Disney Cruises publishes "Magical Rates" on its Specials page. Children's rates are available for kids 3 to 12 in a room with two parents. Under-three's are a bargain as they're free, unless you want to sign up for infant care Flounder's Nursery. Families should be sure to make the most of their kids ages! Disney family cruise line has kids' rates for ages 3-17, under 3 is free; Carnival has special rates for under-12. Also, almost all lines charge less for 3rd and 4th passengers in the same room.
