Spiders, spiders everywhere... ...where's the flyswatter?!?! It has been a heck of a spring here. I think only the biggest, ugliest spiders have survived the winter and they are all trying to come visit me!!! I don't like snakes, can do without most lizards, despise bees and kill every mosquito I can...but SPIDERS can practically give me a heart attack and just plain give me the shivers. In the last week I have had to kill (me, myself) four of the biggest, nastiest looking spiders and they have been IN MY HOUSE!!!!! What, is there some secret welcome mat that is saying "Come on in" in Spiderese?!?! I have had to deal with these horrible creatures on my own since I've either been home alone or it's been early in the morning and DH has still been in bed (and the spider would be long gone by the time I managed to get him awake and into the room with the intruder). Now, I know that most spiders are beneficial and a necessary part of nature and they eat other insects, etc. So, that being said, if they stay out IN NATURE (reads - outside), I leave them alone. The moment they come in my house - I consider them fair game!!!! I just hope that as the weather continues to warm up, the darn (think more colorful metaphors) things will move back outside and stop scaring the life out of me early in the morning!!!! |
