| As many of us know, AA announced over a ago that they would be investing $20 million into upgrading the 762s. The first upgrade was the new F/J entertainment systems. What was also promised were new side-walls, LCD screens, new carpeting, updated seats in Y, new seats in J, and new motorized seats in F (with an extra seat added in the middle). I was just on one of the 762s the other day and was in what I'm going to assume is the new J seat. The seat was exactly the same as the old one, though it was re-upholstered. The colors were identical to those of NGBC (the same lighter blue colored leather, and the same cushions/pattern as NGBC). One thing I noticed is that all of the legrests were pushed forward and couldn't retract as they once were able to. Anyway, the new seats are a start! I'm looking forward to the new sidewalls and carpet, as well as the purported "new" First Class seats. I thought I'd post as I don't think we ever had any firm confirmation as to what the "new" J-seats would be on the 762. |
