| Tell me if anyone's run into any encounter like this... I have the US Airways BoA Visa Sig card... which offers priority boarding (even without preferred status)... however, when I was at a gate at LAS as month - the gate attendant refused to let me board priority when I showed him the card... he claims it doesnt give priority boarding privilege even though I KNOW for certain that it does! (I've had no problem elsewhere) I found it incredibly incompetent as well as incredibly rude - not to mention embarrassing standing in line arguing with him arrogance. I refuse to believe he didnt know the priority boarding privilege of the card... I got the sense from his tone that he might have actually been a bit racist (i'm an Asian American - U.S. citizen - who currently lives in liberal Boston but had grew up in a very backwards area of PA, an area which still has KKK rallies - so I've seen many cultural sides of the states)... plus the gate agent had a very snotty condescending attitude that I even tried to board priority without preferred status (I'm close anyway - will make Gold by end of the year, maybe Platinum - but that's not the issue here if I have the Visa card).... what do people think of such a ridiculous gate debacle with denying the priority boarding? i'm rather upset - not at the boarding - but by the embarrassing snotty way he shooed me away as if I was crazy and making up the privileges - anyone think its a bit snotty, ignorant, or racist - i can't decide. thoughts? |
