First Time to the Caribbean (3 replies)

Hello - I'm thinking of taking a vacation with my parents (I'm 25) and am contemplating St. John's for 4 or 5 days. We've never been to the Caribbean before, but enjoyed Hawai'i. My mom is vegetarian and won't do any swimming/water activities (except for sailing/boating) - are there many vegetarian options available? How's the weather in June? Is it too hot to sit by the beach for much time without swimming?

What other activities are there on St. John's? I was planning on doing a day sail to BVI and I read about some hikes - are they pretty easy to undertake? Are there any botantical gardens around? Not sure if St. Thomas would be a better option?
