 Purchasing miles and award bookings Wanted to do an award booking from MSY-NBO so I called BAEC. Well anyway, I was 14K miles short so hopped over to BA.com and bought them. Well through the booking process, I learned that taxes came to about $700. At that point I realized I was much better off just buying a ticket, keeping my miles, and earning more. Anyway, my question is: am I sunk on the 14K miles I bought? I know T&C says no refunds but has anyone ever had luck getting around it?  |
