Award stay report, Barcelona Hilton Diagonal Mar

For those who might find this of interest. Just completed a three night award stay at the Hilton Diagonal Mar in Barcelona. When arriving at the front desk and checking in, the front desk clerk said, "Not here sir. As a Diamond member, you will go up to the lounge where they will check you and while you have a drink." Went up to the 15th floor lounge and was greeted like a long lost relative, offered a drink and tour of the lounge. Was given an upgraded room on the 22nd floor. Very nice room. Got to the room and found a split of champagne, water, and a tray of sweet treats. The lounge had a self serve bar, water, various coffees, and soft drinks. We had breakfast there each morning with many choices. We also were able to enjoy the evening hot and cold offerings. Enough for dinner. This property is only a couple of years old and quite nice. As to location, it is across from a very large indoor mall. Very close to the tourist bus stop and other transportation. If you choose this Hilton, you won't be disappointed.^
