UA vacation next week! / need upgrade / where to go?

I just need to sit for a week or two, and it just so happens I will have the opportunity to take such a vacation starting next Wednesday.

But I'm feeling a bit lost, so I thought you MP experts could share with me your ideas on where to go/how to get there.

My particulars:

I need EQMs, so farther is better, but not essential. I'm starting in DEN.

I have plenty of miles for upgrading - so I would like to buy an upgradeable fare and use miles for a business class upgrade - this is essential for long legs!

I would like to spend less than $1200 on airfare...as I'm paying for this one personally.

Destination? I like it all, and any out-of-the-world ideas you may have are appreciated!
