| For the last couple of years I have been buying my HKG-BJS tickets, amongst other KA destinations, online at dragonair.com using my CX-Citi Visa card. And as far as I know, I have always been awarded double miles for the online purchases. So in May when I heard the card will be discontinued I bought 4 tickets in one go (seperate bookings), all were ticketed on 30th May. As some of you know, the double miles usually get credited into the member's MPO account very quickly, usually within 3/5 days of the purchase. However, on this occasion I still have not received any bonus miles after a month. I subsequently called MPO to do 4 concurrent missing mileage claims. I called again today to check the status and was surprised to hear that only booking made via CX.com will be awarded double miles (i.e. not KA.com). The nice and reasonable lady I was speaking to went on to explain that only bookings made online will be awarded with 2x miles, hence, those of us who call the e-Service centre to get guaranteed seat may not get the miles either... even for CX. :( |
