| Hi Everyone! My last time through AMS was last November and I was a few months pregnant. I think the machines were new then because I didn't see them when I passed through last July. It caught me by surprise and I didn't know what it was or if it was safe (i was obviously pregnant and said so). I ended up going through it and although I was uncomfortable about it, I sent my children through. I'm flying through AMS next week with my infant. I want to decline the backscatter for her anyway. How do I do that? Also, do I need to decline for myself too? I'm travelling alone, without the stroller. Will they hold my baby while I am searched? My experience is AMS has ALWAYS been to get 'felt up' after the xray no matter what I'm wearing and I've never triggered the 'alarm' or whatever. I just get singled out. SOrry if it seems paranoid. I just want to be prepared with what t expect before I get there so I'm not railroaded into doing the backscatter. Thanks, Sheila |
