RIP, Wall Arch

For those who haven't heard, Wall Arch (in Arches NP near Moab, UT) collapsed this past week.

My brother-in-law and his wife were out there this week and emailed out pictures from Monday (before) and Tuesday (after). If I get permission, I'll post them.

So, if you're heading to Arches anytime soon, the Devil's Garden trail is closed at Wall Arch. You can probably still reach Double O Arch and Dark Angel via the primitive trail to the east since it splits off before Wall, but I'm not sure if they're allowing backtracking to Navajo and Partition Arches via the main trail.

Just another testimony to the impermanence of even natural wonders...
