BUF-ANC Tomorrow - should we standby?

Hello! We are leaving tomorrow for our big vacation, leaving BUF 0940, going to ANC at 1740, via DTW&MSP. (Four of us)

I see that there is a 0900 BUF - 1430 ANC routing direclty through MSP, which on KVS seems very wide open.

Is it worth trying to standby with four people? Will they standby with a connecting city change like this? (skipping DTW).

The orig itin at least has 5 FC open so maybe a few of us could sit up there on the long ANC leg, but it might be nice to get there 3 hours earlier, for only leaving 40 min sooner....
