Zhongshan Road, Beijing

I seem to recall that Beijing is the only major city in China which doesn't have a Zhongshan Lu (???). Can some of you Beijingers confirm or refute? Secondly, I have an even vaguer recollection of reading an article explaining why Beijing doesn't have one. Extensive googling has failed to come up with anything. Unless I missed it. Can anyone shed any light? Thanks (I wasn't sure where to put this. There doesn't seem to be a random stupid questions section! :) )
