Hi,We returned from Orlando on 8/27. We stayed 4 days in US & IOA, 1 day at SeaWorld and 9 days at Saratoga Springs. Seven out of the 9 days at Disney it rained and continued to rain all day. There were some brief breaks in the rain, but not enough to rid ourselves of our ponchos. We made the best of it and had a great time inspite of the weather. We traveled with 5 kids ages 8, 7, 5, 4, 1 and 6 adults. We were able to see many of the attractions at Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom. Studios had many attractions down or cancelled. The wait time for Toy Story Mania was crazy. We arrived one day at 10:15am fast pass return was 8;30pm. Another day I got a fast pass at 9:15 (after waiting on fast pass line for 15 minutes)to return at 12:00 noon. The only other problem we had was on Monday 8/25 when we had 6:30pm dinner reservations in Canada. Another storm came through with heavier rain and wind. They said they were struck by lightening. They had no gas to cook and after waiting until 7:15 they said they would help us get reservations somewhere else. We were able to eat in France at 7:30pm, catch Soarin and head back to the resort before the crowd got out from Illuminations. The kids loved BBB in the castle and even my 8 year old son could not wipe the smile off his face from his cool dude do. We made the best of it and had a great time with family and the magic of Disney and the great cast members.
