Questions about getting an internship abroad

Does anyone have experience with getting an internship in China or Hong Kong? If so, what was the process like and what do you think made you successful in getting the internship?I am a computer science major in Canada, and since I will move to Hong Kong after I graduate, I think it is a great idea to try to get internships each summer in HK. If I have to do a non-computer science related internship, I don't mind. Anything to get me any work experience in HK for the summers would be great.A major question I have is how do you sort out living arrangements? I know if you do exchange programs through school, you can get a host family to stay with. Is there a program like this for internships?
