THE SPRING “CHARLIES Angels” Trip Report by JanicelovesMickey Starring- ME, JANICE, 42 AND MY co-stars, Lisa 38, and Jennifer 32, 2 of my bestest friends in the world. It came along even though I tried my best to leave it home. And here is why its called Charlies Angels, on our December/January trip, the photo pass guy had us doing Charlies Angel poses, and called us just that. And we have been called that on various trips when there are just the 3 of us. DATES- April 30th-May 6th, 2008 Resort- Ramada Inn (yeah were being way cheap this time) Rental Car- A black beetle bug convertible (oh so cute but not practical for our luggage) April 30th- travel day Flight time 6:10pm and ON TIME. So after a long useless half day at work, I finally leave at 12 noon sharp. I go home, eat lunch, and watch some tv and finish my very minute last packing. I had a 2:30 Shuttle van pick up time, that was on time and we had one more stop and I was to the airport at 3:30, no traffic into Philly that time in the afternoon. So after getting my luggage checked, I head up thru security and find my gate, its usually the same C-27,28, or 29. Well since I am so early, what else is there to do, find the nearest bar, get some beer, and food, and drunk dial my best friend John, now, I was not drunk at the time, but every time I am at the airport bar I call him, my cousin Karen, and a few other friends to pass the time away. So 1 more very large beer and a chicken cheesesteak later, it was boarding time. We finally took off, and before we know it, it was time to turn on electronics. I had shut the window because the sun was in my eyes the whole time. So to pass the time, I put 27 Dresses in my laptop, of course I couldn’t hear a thing with the cheap useless headphones I had from a CD player. I will be re-watching it this weekend, what I saw it looked cute, couldn’t hear much though. So the flight was smooth as butter, thanks to Scotts protective flying monkeys he had sent on my flight lol. It was already dark by the time I got there, so I didn’t take any more airplane shots out the window. So I headed to baggage claim, got my luggage and went to the Budget rental car place to meet Lisa, well apparently I was on the wrong side, when she arrived she called and said, I don’t see you, so I had to go all the way to the southwest side, which I had thought I was on. She wasn’t even at the counter yet, the line was slow and long. So we finally get to the counter, and the woman took forever, but she said the car we originally had, a 4 door Chevy Aveo or something, wasn’t available, would we like a WV beetle? YESSS, so we get to the parking lot and we see it’s a cute shiny black convertible with a black top! Oh happy day!!! I was so excited but yet we never took the top off, because we couldn’t figure out how and (I have owned convertibles and t-top cars in the past you’d think I could figure this out??) never took the top off. And getting the luggage in was another story, we had to put it in the back seat, not easy for heavy large luggage the trunk just fit my roll on bag into it. NOOO don’t know why, but we didn’t. So we found our hotel, got our room, unpacked and went to sleep to get a good nights rest for the next day, which I did not sleep good, I never do the first night, I’M TOO EXCITED TO SLEEP!!! UP NEXT DAY ONE!! (AND what in the world will I wear?)
